According to the advent calendar, Christmas is only one week away! Whilst the festive season is busy for most, it is often more so for small businesses. Be it managing seasonal demand, planning for the year ahead, or just balancing work with personal plans, there is lots to be done!
This newsletter also marks 6 months since I started in the role of Commissioner, and whilst (like all of you) I look to the year ahead and think there is still so much to be done, I am also taking the opportunity to reflect on what my team and I have achieved in the last 6 months. There is so much that I could mention, be it working with partners to identify AI solutions to speeding up payments; supporting the launch of the late payments consultation, meeting hundreds of stakeholders to hear and understand their views; and of course the numerous meetings and events we’ve attended to ensure that small businesses hear about the support available to them.
But, as it is such a busy time of year, and as it's Christmas, rather than list them all, I’ve packaged up my top 6 moments for you, in the hope that having access to these resources will make your lives as businesses just that little bit easier.
